hello glamour!
I am so excited to have been given the chance to do another shoot with Project Runway garments! This time I chose a dress by Casanova who designed this garment during All Stars. On the show, the garment came with a gold belt which I decided to take away during the shoot to add more emphasis on the beautiful embroidery on this dress as well as to create more a subtle and feminine look, totally opposite of my other photoshoot. My model for this dress, is my very own classmate, Devi. Devi naturally has beautiful eyes and skintone that I felt would bring out the tones of this garment, and so it did! I kept this look very feminine, classy, and wanted to do a typical glamour/head shot. My photographer for this was Lyn Aldana, who did a perfect job at capturing the beauty of this garment and my model.

Struttin' it Down the Street
Cozy & Colorful
Being warm during the cooler times is easy for Sydney who works as a assistant manager at Forever 21. "We have a lot of sweaters and cardigans right now!"
But many of the Fall/Winter sweaters that are in stores right now are neutral colors: light browns, grays, and cremes. "I like color, I have a bright personality and I like that to reflect that in what I wear." Sydney's outfit today does just that.
"I found this cardigan at Forever 21 and I loved that it had so many bright colors in them. I tone it down by wearing neutral and dark colors on the bottom."
She got her black leggings at Love Culture and her boots at Aldo a few years back.
She has a bohemian style and is inspired by how Mary Kate Olsen dresses. Sydney loves textured knits, geometric prints and simple embellishments and accessories.

Project Runway Styling Shoot
I was recently lucky enough to
rummage through 6 or more boxes of past Project Runway designs at my school in
San Francisco. As a huge Project Runway
fan, this was really exciting! We got to
choose an outfit to style how we wanted, and collaborate with photographers at
our school to do a photo shoot. My model
was a classmate and friend Jordan Overstreet and my photographer was Miki
Hirai. The task for Miki was to use
dramatic rim lighting. I wanted to match
that with dramatic styling choices and powerful poses from Jordan.
I
wanted big hair, shimmering silver lipstick, and bold mascara with a powerful
stare into the camera. Onto the
clothes! None of the clothing was
labeled with the designer who created it, so we had to scour the internet to
find pictures of the garments. I found
an awesome teal wool jacket that appeared to be from Rami Kashou’s finale collection from season 4 that had meticulous
pleating detail all over the jacket. The
pleats that ran from the shoulder down to the elbow released to create an
exaggerated puff sleeve. The jacket also
had a large stand up collar that I had Jordan encapsulate herself in. The top Jordan is wearing was from Dimitri Sholokhov’s finale collection in
season 10. It was a sheer mesh top with
beading and applique detail along the neckline.
