My San Francisco Essentials

As Fall starts to approach us, we begin our quest to stocking up on knits, leggings, boots, and jackets. But for me and many other San Franciscans, it seems like Fall/Winter every season even in the summer. So for all of us confused on what to wear in city, to buy and what not to buy, here are some of my favorite must have pieces that are completely recyclable all year round!

1. My first essentials are sneakers, preferably Converse. I like to think that I can rock my sneakers around the city like THE Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, but of course not everyone is as fashionable as SJP. Converse are a great way to roam around the concrete jungle of SF or just about anywhere, they're super comfy and super cute with almost any outfit.

2. Ripped jeans for me are a must! Almost anyone can pull of ripped jeans with any top, during any season. paired with stilettos, pumps, boots, or flats, ripped jeans can add more texture and more fun to any outfit.

3. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am constantly in knit sweaters, they're super comfy and fashionable. Knits are great during any season because they're lightweight, and breathable. During the summer you can even pull an off the shoulder look to show a little skin. Long knits like the above image give off a beachy kind of look and feel which is why they can be pulled off in summer and not just in the cold seasons.

4. My final must-have are scarves! Just like with knits, they come in an array of fabrics, colors and textures. In the summer they can even be transformed into a dress, top, and even a coverup given the many ways scarves can be worn. I love to wear scarves during the spring because it kind of gives my outfit a bridge between winter and summer, which is what spring is about.

UNIQLO 2013 Fall/Winter Press Preview

I know it's Summer time, but   we   are   getting ready for Fall/Winter. Take a look at the Press Release Video Exhibition introducing Uniqlo's Fall/Winter 2013 Collection. I absolutely love the idea of a white room filled with mannequins styled from head to toe. As for the trends displayed in the video: head wraps, bold patterns, slim fit bottoms, muted blues and yellows are what we have in store for us this F/W. Uniqlo is at the top of their Fashion game and offers the best basics for men and women. However, they still delight us with on Trend Colors and Textiles. Hope you enjoy!

Three Dresses For Summer

SUMMERTIME! Where The Dresses Are Breezy!

Summer! This is the most wonderful time to show off your legs, wear color and look extra HOT! Here are three dresses that are perfect for doing just that!

This first dress is from H&M. I love the neon orange-y color (doesn't it just scream, "SUMMERTIME"?)  and the zipper detail in the front. I also love the V- neckline shape which helps elongate the neck! The dress is not too short and shows off the perfect amount of leg! The material is thin and airy; perfect for summer!   This look is perfect for a night out, maybe like a concert or a fun dinner!

This dress is also from H&M. It's actually the same dress as the previous one but with a black and white pattern. I like this dress because you can add almost any pop of color you like with any accessories you like and you are ready to rock it for the summer! I am wearing nude peep toe wedges with this look. I wore this dress for the 4th of July! This look is perfect for a BBQ or running errands!

This last dress is from Target! Do you remember a while back during the holidays when Target partnered with all of those fashion designers? Well, Prabal Gurung (He is a Nepalese American fashion designer) created a line and viola! This is where the dress is from! I hope Target partners with the fashion  designers again because I think it was a real success!
Funny story: This dress was originally $50 and I decided to wait for it to go on sale! Patience is a virtue because I ended up paying $25! Actually all three of these dresses where $25 a piece! Not bad, huh?

Anyways, this dress is probably my favorite dress in my wardrobe! I love the A line skirt and the combination of red and hint of black on the waist and on the shoulders. OH! And the best part of this dress are...THE POCKETS! I wore the dress twice before noticing they were even there! I wore this dress to a tea party my mom threw in the spring. I paired this dress with a pair of Lauren Conrad heels from Kohl's. I think the nude heels give the outfit a little brightness. I would wear this look out to fancy dinner or a party!

And that's it! Three looks to wear for summer. Let us know what you like to wear for summer!
